Christmas Card Time

As many of you know, I have designed in Photoshop several of the birthday invitations and the birth announcement for Jackson.  It is something that I find fun and relaxing. With Jackson's last birthday party we decided to try something different.  I found out about a special deal going on at Shutterfly that gave us a certain number of free cards.  We ordered Thank you cards and loved them
Jackson got so many gifts we actually had to go back and order more.  I might end up sending them out as Thank you cards for MY Christmas presents!!
Over the summer I found a great deal to make a free calendar through Shutterfly.  It was an early birthday present for Megan that she proudly displays at school now.
This is the December picture of the calendar.  I love that we get to personalize the pictures to the months to remind us of birthdays, anniversaries or other events!

So tomorrow we are off to Portrait Innovations to get some family photos for this years Christmas card and we will be ordering through Shutterfly I am sure.  We are still browsing the site http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-photo-cards  but our current favorite is this one (we will update the pictures of course)

If everything goes as planned, Shutterfly will be giving us 50 free Christmas cards just for making this blog post.  If anyone else is interested, check out the link below

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

messy start to the day

First think in the morning, Jackson had a VERY wet diaper
(notice the wet elbows...it was head to toe)

Which means Kyle had to give a bath (which is almost always Megan's job)

And this is why it is Megan's job

Another DIY project

Took some alphabet blocks and put some magnets on them

Used a Dremel and cut slots so they hold pictures too

Fleece winter hat

This is my latest creation.  I made a fleece hat for Jackson.  Based on how fast he is growing, it will probably fit him for about a week.
Jackson likes his new hat, but he is giving me a weird grin!

Better angle of the final product

I had the car seat out to measure the blanket
Jackson decided to climb back in for old time sake!

Found a design to make a baby blanket that can be used as a car seat cover that straps onto the handles
